What does it cost us to be kind to one another?
Kindness is they greatest gift that one can give and its free, no money is necessary. However, you can not give what you don't have. So this means that if our mind, body, and spirit is full of jealousy, ill will, hate, discontent, etc. than that is all you have to give to others. By sending this type of energy out into the world the universe will radiate that same negative energy and way of feeling back on to you. What if we were to fill our lives with kindness, thoughtfulness towards others, forgiveness, love, compassion, empathy, etc? Than we will be able to share this with the world and in turn the universe will send the exact same thing that we put out back on to us. You reap what you sow, meaning one day you will face the consequences (good or bad) of your actions and/or inactions. So this why it is so important that we think about our actions, the way we treat one another, and learn to forgive each other. In my life I have had to learn this philosophy the hard way because I cared all about myself and how people and things made me feel and paid little attention to how my actions were affecting others. However, all of my negative selfish ways came home to roost and I was stripped of all that I held near and dear to my heart. This was my wake up call to pay closer attention to the energy I carried around and gave out, this was my wake up call to focus on offering more service to others rather requiring others to provide more service to me.
