Its been said that you can dictate a person's future by evaluating what and how they use their time today. We are all given 86,400 seconds everyday and the only difference between the successful and the unsuccessful is the way each uses their allotted time. So often I have found myself complaining that their just isn't enough time in the day to reach for my goals and ambitions. Yet I have been able to find time to stare aimlessly into a TV for hours only to gain nothing from it nor get any closer to my goals. Here is what I figured out, we all procrastinate on varies things that we know we should do. None of us are immune to this, it's our nature. On the other hand, I have noticed that we always do what is important to use as soon as possible with no questions asked.
With all of that being said my method of better utilizing my time is first understanding what I gain by completing the task and assign that particular task a level of importance on a scale of 1-5. 1 of course is the least important and will most likely get pushed and 5 is of the utmost important and will take the forefront of my attention. This is my way of managing my time to increase my future chances of success. How about you, what techniques have you successfully used to better management of your time?
